Overview

The Bachelor of Arts with concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management helps students understand the basic principles that underline the hospitality and tourism industry, with emphasis on management and marketing skills. It includes coursework that guides graduates into rewarding hospitality fields.

The focus of “hospitality” is always on the guest and the associated services. Hospitality management is the service of ensuring that travelers, whether they be on vacation or businesses, and event attendees have a pleasant experience. We prepare students for this challenging environment in the International Hospitality Management degree program with extensive knowledge – both from the hospitality industry as well as from the general management.

Program Structure

Students of the degree program will learn about business communications, data analysis, business operations and legal and ethical businesses practices. During the studies, you will get to know the management of the international hospitality industry from the ground up. The focus on the studies on core hospitality management goals will be:

  • Providing excellent customer service

  • Managing detailed knowledge of specific management topics – restaurant management, food & beverage management, room management, law and human resources.

  • Using industry metrics and trends to make decisions on in-depth economic knowledge, including micro and macroeconomics, statistics and accounting.

  • Using marketing that is relevant in hospitality.

Admission

  • High School Diploma, or IB Diploma, or university entrance qualification or equivalent qualification* and transcript of records.
*Equivalent qualifications from foreign schools and IB diplomas are recognised accordingly.

  • If you have not graduated yet, you may apply with your existing transcript of records (incl. grades and credits, if applicable) for a conditional acceptance.

  • Your final High School Diploma and Transcript of Records needs to be submitted in original or certified copy upon starting your studies.

Learning Outcomes

Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management may oversee various departments within a business. These might include housekeeping, front desk, concierge, restaurant, spa services and valet. Students with a hospitality management degree work to ensure that all of these services integrate seamlessly into the venue’s offerings.
